Accessibility

ATB Consorzio's investments are looking at technological and operational solutions that can make the public transport accessible to an increasing number of people.

Physical disability

MEANS

All buses have both a low floor, with a maximum height of 30 cm from the ground, and a boarding platform for wheelchairs and walking aids.
For an easier access, travellers with physical disabilities, even if not in a wheelchair, can also request to board the bus through the central doors, which are generally reserved for getting off.
The first line of Bergamo City funicular and San Vigilio funicular are equipped with a platform for boarding.
In addition, passengers with disabilities and pregnant women have priority access to the funicular with the related companions and minors.

FACILITIES

ATB Point is equipped with a lift for customers with mobility difficulties. The funicular stations are equipped with up and down devices.
Sometimes the road conditions do not allow optimal accessibility of all stops. To help our customers plan their journey better, we have mapped our accessible stops one by one, indicating them with a symbol at the stop and on this website in the ‘Route planner’ section.

Visual disability

WEBSITE

The pages of this website have been designed and created according to the AGID Guidelines, in other words with a special focus on access to information by people with disabilities, with the aim to provide a quality service to all potential users, without any exclusion.
Blind users can also make use of the Moovit app.

ATB MOBILE APP

The ATB Mobile app has been developed according to the AGID Guidelines and in compliance with the user experience of the iOS and Android platforms.

FACILITIES

ATB Point and Bergamo City funicular stations are equipped with tactile maps in Braille with guided routes for the blind and visually impaired.

MEANS

Guide and rescue dogs are allowed to travel for free, without muzzle or leash, and oversize (see article 5 of the terms and conditions of travel).
