Passes

ATB System is the fare system in use for travelling within Bergamo city and the 29 surrounding municipalities, or rather, within the Urban Area and allows to travel with the same ticket by ATB buses and funiculars and by the T1 Bergamo- Albino tramway.

With ATB System, the Urban Area is divided into 20 fare zones, each marked with a numerical code. The city of Bergamo is in the center and is identified by the code 00 - urban zone.

To travel by ATB Consorzio services, you must have a valid travel document suitable for your route.

To compute your fare, you count the number of zones crossed by the route of each line, including the departure and arrival zones. Each zone crossed corresponds to charge increase, while if the route starts or ends at the zone boundary there is no change to the next one. For all trips within a single zone, including urban zone 00, the fare charged is One Zone.

In addition:

• if two locations are connected by several lines that cross the same or partially different zones, both lines may be used, provided that the number of zones crossed corresponds
• 5 or More Zone passes allow for only a fixed route, for example Nembro-Osio Sopra, while monthly and annual passes for the whole network are available for travelling anywhere in the ATB System.

Passes consist of the identification card, b-card, and the piece of paper indicating the type of pass chosen and its validity.

The first step to subscribe an ATB pass is therefore to apply for the b-card.

With passes, you can make an unlimited number of journeys in your area, using different routes.
The season ticket is always valid 7 days a week, including holidays.

Passes are divided into weekly, monthly and annual.

Weekly passes must be validated on the bus on the first journey, must indicate the b-card number and route and are valid from the day of validation until the end of the week.

Monthly and annual passes do not require validation, but can be subscribed/renewed from the 20th day of each month with validity from the beginning of the following month.

Weekly passes are available in One to Five or More Zone types, monthly and annual passes also include the Whole Network fare and discounts according to specific categories:

• Ordinary;
• Junior;
• Under14 and Over65;
• Family;
• Students;
• Cumulative;
• UniBG Students;
• Impersonal

All passes, with the exception of the impersonal ones, are nominative and non-transferable.

There are also passes suitable for travelling throughout Bergamo Province and Lombardy Region.

Until the complete transition to AtBip electronic ticketing system, passes can be purchased and renewed only:

• online
• at ATB Point
• at Bergamo Station ticket office

ATB Club is reserved for annual subscribers and offers them reserved discounts and promotions.
To benefit them you must show your valid pass at the ticket offices or sales outlets of participating partners.

LA BIGI

100 free rides of the La BiGi bikesharing service of 30 minutes each, with a total value of € 100.
